Refunds

Thirty days, no questions asked

If a Tieout licence is not what you needed, ask for a refund within 30 days of purchase and you will get one. You do not have to explain why, and you do not have to prove anything.

How to ask

Purchases are handled by Paddle as the merchant of record, so refunds are issued by Paddle. Reply to the email that delivered your key, or use the contact address on your Paddle receipt, and ask for a refund. It returns to the original payment method.

What happens to your key

Nothing. Tieout verifies keys offline, with no activation server and no account, so a key cannot be switched off once it has been issued — including after a refund.

We are telling you this plainly rather than implying a control we do not have. The policy relies on you deleting the key and not continuing to use the paid features after a refund. That is an honour system, and it is the same honour system the self-selected pricing tiers already run on.

Why the policy is this generous

The complete diagnosis is free and unlimited, and there is a synthetic demo that needs no files at all. You can see exactly what Tieout does before paying anything. A refund request usually means the paid working papers were not worth it to you, and arguing about that would cost both of us more than the licence does.

After thirty days

Write anyway. A perpetual licence with no recurring charge means there is rarely anything to dispute, but if something went genuinely wrong we would rather hear about it than not.
